JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in growing KloudShip’s customer base by identifying potential clients, understanding their shipping needs, and presenting tailored solutions that add value to their operations. You will also be responsible for nurturing existing relationships to ensure client retention and satisfaction.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prospecting & Onboarding New Clients:
• Identify and reach out to small, medium, and enterprise-level businesses who need reliable shipping solutions
• Understand client requirements and demonstrate how Kloudship can meet their specific needs (e.g., discounted pricing, COD, international shipping, etc.)
• Present commercial models
• KloudShip’s rates with no subscription fee
• Client’s own rates where clients pay a fixed minimal fee per month for every 50,000 shipments
• Close deals and onboard new clients onto the platform

2. Client Relationship Management:
• Maintain regular communication with onboarded clients to ensure they continue using Kloudship effectively
• Address any concerns or issues promptly to enhance client satisfaction
• Upsell additional features or services when appropriate

3. Sales Targets & Reporting:
• Achieve monthly sales targets set by management
• Provide weekly updates on pipeline progress, closed deals, and client feedback

4. Coordinate with Mid-to-High-Level Management of Logistics Carriers:
• Interact with senior management personnel from prominent logistics carriers (e.g., Delhivery, eKart, XpressBees).
• Negotiate competitive rates
• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Foster strong partnerships for efficient logistics operations

4. Product Knowledge:
• Stay updated on all Kloudship features and offerings
• Discounted pricing
• Cash on Delivery (COD)
• International, B2C, and B2B shipping capabilities
• Kloudship UI for smaller businesses and API integration for larger enterprises
• Carrier Integrations
• Delhivery: For delivery to the widest zip codes across India
• XpressBees: For the best rates on domestic shipping
• Borzo: For hyper-local deliveries in Tier 1 cities of India
• eKart: A branded carrier backed by Walmart, offering reliable and trusted services

5. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the marketing and customer support teams to align strategies and improve overall client experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Education: MBA in Business and Marketing
• Experience: 5–10 years of experience in hard core sales and business development in Indian shipping and logistics aggregator companies like Bigship, Shiprocket, ShipKaro, and others
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi (additional languages are a plus)
• Tech Savviness: Comfortable navigating software platforms and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
• Problem-Solving Ability: Quick thinker with the ability to address client queries and objections effectively
• Self-Motivation: Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to succeed in a competitive environment

SALARY & GROWTH PATH:
Starting Salary:
• Fixed: INR 50,000 to 75,000/month
• Commission: 1% on all recharges made by clients you manage

Promotion Opportunity – Senior Business Development Manager:
• Fixed: INR 75,000 to 120,000/month
• Commission: 1% on all recharges made by clients you manage
Note: Promotion eligibility is based on performance metrics, including consistent achievement of sales targets and exceptional client retention rates.
